India Lead Zinc Development Association, popularly known as ILZDA in brief, setup in 1962, is a non-profit non-commercial organization registered under Societies Act, dedicated to market development and dissemination of technical information in respect of Lead, Zinc and their applications. ILZDA is not a trade body. ILZDA works in close co-operation with International Zinc Assn (www.iza.com), International Lead Association (www.ila-lead.org), International Lead Zinc Study Group (www.ilzsg.org), International Lead Zinc Research Organization (www.ilzro.org) etc. as well as similar Lead/Zinc Development Associations in other countries.
AFFILIATED GROUPS
To provide customized professional assistance to its members and to be able to resolve specific technical problems, ILZDA has formed three affiliated groups/bodies in order to serve the major consumer sectors of Lead and Zinc:
- INDIAN GALVANIZERS ASSOCIATION (IGA)
- BATTERY SOCIETY OF INDIA (BSI)
- DIE CASTING SOCIETY OF INDIA (DCSI)
The following services are offered to the members of ILZDA and its affiliated bodies:
- Advice industry on technical problems,
- Disseminate information on new technologies/processes/products,
- Arrange transfer of technology developed by overseas counterparts,
- Assist in the formulation of national standards,
- Bring out technical/market- related publications and
- Organize seminars/ symposia/ conferences/ plant level training courses.
